Direct from the Beach……
Today is my Birthday . Celebration is huge for us as a family. Gives us all something to look forward to and I 've given myself permission to take a "Me" day today, without guilt, without making myself bad and wrong with any and or head chatter. It's been a while and I deserve it.
It's good , it's healthy and nurturing! Not to mention V E R Y over do.
I got the importance of taking "ME" time, scheduling it and sticking to it when I was married. My Former used to think I was being selfish and taking away from home/ family/ work time. The reality was, what he never seemed to get was , that if I fell apart, all the plates would come crashing down.
I took every Wednsday morning while the children where in school, drove to the beach with my music blaring… notice the "my" — singing my heart out…. powerwalk the beach, commune with God, nature, & look for treasures which I took as signs!! Than treat myself to lunch and return a new women. Centered refreshed and ready to go newly.
During my divorce, if Iwas getting grouchy, irritable or frustrated, my girls would put their hand on my shoulder and say."mom, you need a beach day" LOL. Their way of calling me "Bitchy"
My move to South Florida had created new challenges and I'd forgotten about scheduling the "Me" time. As a Life Coach, I remind others of this all the time. I had checked in at the beginning of the year with my self assesment, and had neglected to check that aspect for myself as I was so excited about the New Year possibilities I had in store for my Clients.
I live much closer to the beach now. Think I've checked it out? No , I was in my head and in my story that I hadn't found a peice of nature here…. Had I looked for it? no. So much for that belief system…. Guessing I am as human as you are and remember I do this for a living! Clearing belief systems is a passion of mine. For me, with practice, I've gotten to clear my own quickly or source it out to my Coach, every good Coach needs Coach to stay on track!
So today I found myself East bound, top down, 68 degrees and cloudy. I didn't care… I was heading to the beach to find my peace. A spot for myself to center , ground and call my own. Phone shut off and after managing the parking ticket meter which I wouldn't allow to discourage me…. (who knew they took credit cards! Get out!! Yeah! as I didn't have $3.00 for my 2 hour stay.
I found my spot today at the beach, no hi-risers behind me to look at , no homes, just beautifully intertwined sea grapes, some of south florida's best! On my way down the wooden path the cutest little cat approached me with a huge meow of welcome! After a few warm fuzzy rubs around the head & neck, down the path I went, blanket & journel in hand. My newest friend ambled happily along side to the beach, onto my towel making herself right at home. As I looked upward, and took my first few ocean breaths of fresh salty air, it was almost maracious how the clouds parted and the sun shown brightly. 68 warm sunny Florida degress was very do -able today! The oceans crystal blue/ green , ahh, a small peice of heaven before me. The Only thing missing was my bathing suit to work on that all over tan thing… no matter, not one to lay out anyway…
As I breathed in all the splendor of the moment, my new friend "Jezabelle strode off with a meow! I thanked her for making my birthday special. Ahh, me time…. I layed back to just use my senses to create the presence, smell the air, hear the waves.. feel the cool breeze, aware of my surroundings and beginning to breathe in sync to the waves… I found that special peice of self.
I was okay, everything was grand and back comes Jezabelle, all in my face and wanting much attention! After a few rounds of petting and purring, she made herself at home stretched out very comfortably I might add along my ride side (shady side of the towel) purring softly. I had never experienced a cat on the beach, was a first for me. As I began my meditaion there in sync with the waves I got very present to my Stress management techniques, the same I teach others to do… Breathing in love, compassion and appreciation..exhaling gratitude, I was breathing how much I appreciated the love I was getting on my birthday from this little critter. I was so grateful for this wonderul gift this day. Often we feel alone and we truly arent! I stayed in that space for about 30 minutes. Jezabelle remained there with me. Not that I was looking for another animal to bring home, she would've been the one I would've if. Actually, I told her if she followed me INTO the car, she'd find a home with us.
After some time , she got up to next in the reeds, neither of us personalized a thing or made it mean anything. Great space to be in! I got up to put my feet in the water….. cool crisp clear water… it was magical! I walked for sometime looking for treasures ! The picin's were sparce here. Shell trearures were to to be found on the West Coast of FL, more than the East Coast, no matter I found a cool peice of drift wood, a piece of coral which reminded me of my brain to think ( I'm into brain science, so it fed that part of life) a cool looking shell and in the hopes of making my birthday complete…. I wishted to see a dolphin. After some time I realized, if I wish to be seeing a dolphin, I would be needing to look towards the water rather the ground for treasure! The real treasure would be where I was looking.
I looked up and there were the geese flying in formation ( I know I've posted that story before… cool one! ) Today was a wonderful day! How greatful and fortuate I am.
As I gathered my things to go, there on the path was Jezabelle with her straight line down her forehead. She looked at me and meowed. Once more I reminded her of my promise, when as if perfect timing, out from under the board walk comes her mom. I couldnt take her from her family, so I grabbed my phone came back to take this precious picture as a reminder of unconditional love. I had plenty!
Butterflies lite the path before me… Doesn't get much better! Made it to the car only 3 minutes late! Not bad without a time source just instinct. I smiled , top down grin on my face! The clouds begin gathering just as I depart and get thicker the whole ride home.. Ahhh… a moment for me. I relished it.
Lunch celebration with my daughter and adopted son. Ice Cream stop later. Family and Friends called….
Upon returning home and happy to be on my Team call with the most amazing Global Leaders, I was content to know I was a part of this commitment to my self and the world.
It was clarified and verified by my opening My Facebook and the abundance of well wishes, acknowledgments and such was a warm reminder why I Love what I do. Why I DO what I do because of people like you!
Thank you one and all for being a part of my beautiful day! It was abundant , peaceful and joyous!!
I am content and Fulfilled & I scheduled my day for next week! Yeah!

It's already been proven that your brain will retain 40 % of what it Sees.
A Vision Board or Visual Journal are powerful tools for shifting and renovating our belief systems. Especially the ones which hold us back… that self talk. The talk which tells us the way we view and feel about ourselves. Yes guys, I said the "feel" word. It's the way we see and experience the world.
Our feelings where put in place for a reason. The reason is a beromiter of whats occuring in your world in that moment. Every thing you think and feel effects not only your moods, effects some part of your body as well. Wish good health?? Perhaps see yourself as Healthy, feel yourself healthy. You are what you thinkith!!! Imagination goes a long way!
The Vision Board or Journal appeals directly to the part of the brain (right side) which responds to feelings and images. This is where we create ourselves. Your brain cannot distinquish between the experiences which are imagined or those that are real.
Therefore, it is unable to reject the 'bad/wrong" or the illusional truths and feelings we put in the space. By it's nature, it than reproduces the outer reality as the truth within our minds.
When used to the fullest, your Boards/ Journals will bring focus to those elements you choose to create as the "movie" in your creative mind.
The Visual consists of pictures, symbols, words that your highter self will select more clearly that defines what truly is and what you truly wish to achieve in all areas of your life to create balance.
By focusing your mind on each of these qualities you wish to express, or that what you wish to have, which events you wish to experience , your mind will cause them to become a reality.
In short, using these tools will support you in overcoming those self imposed defects & shortcomings by creating strengths which reflect your intentions and aspirations.
Board vs Journals:
Both are very effective tools. The Board is a space to create all which you desire or wish to shift on one surface. A Journal is used for each area of your life on individual pages. Neither can be simple or more defined… you get to choose…

Setting Intentions for a Powerful New Year!
In this moment I can declare the kind of day I will experience, the kind of year that will follow…. Therefore, I decide this will be my Greatest Year!
New Years Intentions are at hand…
Who needs support to put the structures needed in place to follow thru and have this be your Greatest Year?
Personally I enjoy using the term "intentions" as apposed to "goals" . That I beleive works for some and often lands for others as more "work to do". Intentions sounds less threatening and from my experience with using it within my practice seems to be followed thru with more ease.
So, When setting your Intentions for the New Year, make your "declarations" clear and consise. You want the Universe to support your efforts and align its paths to your door on delivary. Don't forget to include your Personal Health, Prosperity, improved Relationships, and Enhanced Self -Esteem , Worthiness & self image, Spirituality if that moves you in Ways of being of Service. Career Intentions & enhanced communication for starters….
I love the idea of bulleted journeling, it creates awareness of your achievements, progress and stops. With awareness , you get to choose!
I am a true advocate of Vision Boards… your brain will retain 40% more information whether you are aware of it doing so or not. So the more you see your vision, theoretically, your actions will align to have them become a reality.
Being in action is the name of the Game to Live the Life you Love!

1. Accomplishments…
By acknowledging yourself and your accomplishments, over a period of time when you look back you will notice a pattern.
The pattern reveals that no matter how large or how small your accomplishments, whether you won a metal or not, you have similarities to others.
More importantly, the more you follow thru with this practice of continuing jotting down any accomplishment, big or small, you get to Bragg big time here, it will support boosting your self Esteem after time.
2. Your Gratitude lists…
When you jotted down every thing you could think of and continue to think of … if you notice, often you see what you do have rather than don't which shifts much energy! You will start looking at the grass being just as green in your own back yard! Often Greener!
3. Smile Makers— Warm & Fuzzies
When you jotted down this week what created smiles for you , it after time will shift your breathing, your cortisol levels and decreases stress as well as shifting energies in an instant. That is all it takes, when you come back to review this section as needed. So keep adding to the list!!
4. 150 things do do before you depart or your Bucket lists
When jotting down these fun things you wish to do, you stand in a space of creating usually fun and play. A reminder that life is too short and take it on full out, here and not!
Say what you need to say or do for others Now!

5. Things that feed your SOUL..
By taking this one on over time you will come to see what makes you tick, reveals core values and usually will have you reviewing your smile makers as well as Gratitude on a different level! Great stuffs…Keep on keeping on.

These written & reviewed over time will keep you grounded on not only the glass being 1/2 full, it will also keep you grounded in that which you recognize solely for you in which you choose to shift.

Changing the Story: Becoming Responsible
In my Coaching Practice, I've gotten so present to those who feel the need to defend or justify their point of view with long drawn out stories. Usually pointing the fingers at everyone else.
Human Nature takes us down that road, nostly when we don't want to be responsible for something we were going to do or say or it hadn't worked out as planned…….
Remembering the brain is there amongst other reasons, to protect and keep us safe! When the Ego gets in the way , it creates the Flight or Fight Syndrome, our senses become proctective/ defensive.
As much as I find the stories often entertaining, I often have to stop them from going any futher, usually because of time constraints. The more one goes on and on , the more the listener gets lost and the point of the story becomes blurry. Often the StoryTeller comes across as the Victim or what I fondly refer to as "the Pity Party", believe me , I've had my fair share of that one!
There is nothng wrong here, we all tend to go on sometimes. It might serve your listener to ask them they have time to listen to you go on. Asking to just be a listener, not to give judgement or opinion, you don't need to be fixed!! In all fairness to the story teller, often they just need to be heard and listened to, and the answers they seek are usually right there upon their lips by the time they finish!
By becoming aware and training ourselves to listen…hear…. what comes out of our mouths will allow the participants to be more engaged and supportive of what you truly are attempty to convay.
Stop. Breathe… Think of what you wish your intention to convey. Ask for what you want/ need… than speak into the subject.
Clear , Concise Communication! How Very Attractive Indeed!!
Keys to Managing your Intentions
1- Have fun
Choose an activity that itself is satisfying, not for the benefits it promises. You’ll be more likely to stick with it after the newness has worn off. Emphasize the “want” rather than “should” in your choices of activity. Satisfaction comes from achieving a level of competence, or from simply performing the activity.
2 – Become accountable to someone you trust
It’s ok to grit your teeth and be determined to do it on your own, but the support network is important, whether it's at home, in the exercise class or in the work environment. To keep your progress constant, be accountable to a friend, a family member or a Life Coach, much like your exercise Coach. They will encourage you to continue when you don’t feel like it.
3 – Write it down
Knowing exactly how much you've accomplished whether it be exercise , what you are eating, or looking to accomplish, it often makes it harder to slack off. Without a record, it is easy to overestimate your activity level and to let other things interfere and take over. Make it important! Make it Count!
4 – Make it important
People who make priorities rather than an “add-on” are likely to integrate more of it into their lives. Having a regular workout time, planning time, eatting time, etc , also helps and is a huge factor for adhering to your plan. A flexible schedule often backfires – once a person has missed one priority, it’s easier to miss others. Schedule all your planning a week ahead and don’t cancel on yourself unless you absolutely have to.
